چکیده

Nowadays, the boundary between day and night cannot be distinguished clearly because of artificial lighting at night. Artificial light exposure effects circadian rhythm organism body. Light is primary stimulus in determining an organism. Circadian rhythms play important role sleep patterns disruptions can cause negative on health, including cognitive function deficits, such as a working memory. The aim this study was to determine effect long photoperiod ability visuospatial memory Wistar rats (Rattus norvegicus). Total 16 comprising two groups were used. first group treated with normal photoperiod, 12 hours dark, while second 21 3 dark. In different object recognition methods used investigate rat, namely Novel Object Recognition (NOR) test visual Location (OLR) spatial results showed that significantly decreased memory, but did not show any studied rats.

"Spatial memory in Long Evans and Rattus Norvegicus rats".

Rodents in search of food use visual environmental signals and complex spatial strategies and do not return to previously-visited locations, known as the win-shift strategy. The solution to the Olton Octagonal Maze (OOM) involves Working Memory (WM). A modified OOM was used that allows for measuring WM and Long Term Memory (LTM). The delayed spatial win-shift task consisted of a Training and Te...
